I love the DW! Limo looked a little nervous...self conscious, really...wondering if she was thinking of her behavior. LOL. My dogs will occassionally go on a bark/run rip when I'm watching....they go racing out of the room from a dead sleep, ready to get "that dog that's barking". Tsh!
There is such logic in his theory of "Treating Dogs like dogs and people being the pack leader"
You know you can apply some of what he says to horses too.
It amazes me how many people have unruly dogs and basically let their dogs run their lives - because they treat them like children.
Our dogs are spoiled - but they are still dogs. They have to live like dogs at our house and that means following the rules - when asked the first time. They walk well almost everyday - and they mind. They are not rude, don't jump on strangers, don't beg, when they are in a good state of mind we lavish them with praise - they are good mannered dogs because of me and hubby following Cesar's advice - we also have his book.
I have mixed feelings about DW. But then again, there's always something to learn from someone be it positive or negative. I won't elaborate or I'll have totally hijacked your blog.
It was pretty funny:-) she was "watching" it here and there so I started filming her and was able to catch her - for those that missed it (it is kind of hard to hear it) the girl with Ceasar says "Sit" and so that's why Limo sat. For the most part I agree with and love the DW, he has alot of good common sense to the dogs and Stephanie you're right-you absoultely can use DW sense on horses! I know I do.
