Yes, it's true I like to torture Limo with watermelons.
Cut or whole she is not a fan of watermelons. Whether she sees it on the counter, in the fridge or cut in halves she has deemed it to be Evil. Limo would not have made it very long out on her own, simply being brave enough to eat food would have been a daily challenge for her. She also is afraid of garbage and plastic bags - a good food source for a wondering stray...so while I may torture her with fruit now and then, she's damn lucky to have me :-)

That's sooo funny. You have to wonder why they're so scary though.
You should clicker train her to touch it with her nose. Remember Reagan and the scary paper weight.... They are friends now :-).

is it all fruit or just watermelon that she is afraid of? maybe the joke's on you - she can really smell some sort of poison in the fruit and she is just trying to warn you not to eat it! then again, maybe not. :)
have you been to my blog to see who is staying at my house? i thought you you immediately. just let me know when you want me to bring her to you.
Hi, I found your blog while doing a Google search.... I read the post from back in April entitled "Is he lame or neurologic?" or something like that. My gelding has a LOT of the same symptoms that your Lester seemed to have. Whatever happened with that? I skimmed some of your posts, but that's a LOT of reading! My vet and I are at a loss about what to do with my boy, so I'm doing my own research. I'd love to talk to you. I have a blog at: nikkisyndromezone.blogspot.com
That watermelon is definitely evil...I can see it just from these pictures alone!
I just saw your comment on my post...yes, I sold a Breyer horse for $500. My sister sold another prize horse (given as an award for winning a division at the show) for $550 that night. I sold mine on time payments, so $100 down. I sold another one for $600 (over six months). Granted, most of the horses I sold over the weekend were $20 or less, but there were a few in the $75-150 range!
Right now it just seems to be watermelon and Charmin 12 packs...
I can't wait for Halloween to get a Pumpkin:-)
